The Big Bulls rugby club from Almelo is a growing club with many enthusiastic members who contribute significantly to the various activities. The Big Bulls have both a large men’s and women’s squad and approximately sixty youth members who play in various youth classes. In addition, several older members play Walking Rugby recreationally.

The club was founded on April 11, 1975, and is located at the Wendelgoor sports park (Badweg 26) in Almelo, next to the white bridge between Almelo and Wierden. On September 1, 2018, the Bulls opened their new clubhouse, built entirely by club members. The club’s turf and lighting system were replaced in the summer of 2020.
Six 15-meter masts have been installed around the field. Eight Philips LED fixtures are mounted on the masts, which produce an average of 145 lux.
Thus, a healthy basis for further growth of rugby in Almelo and the surrounding area.
