FC Bergh is a club in ‘s-Heerenberg that merged in 2019 as MvR with VVL from Lengel and VV Stokkum. Although the club is only a year old, football has been played on its pitches since 1962.
Since March 2020, FC Bergh’s football fields have been in top condition again. This new complex boasts two new artificial turf fields and one natural grass field. The grass is greener than ever for FC Bergh. This is, of course, due to the strong performances and the many hours of sunshine. But when the sun goes down, the fields remain perfectly lit. FC Bergh’s fields have been equipped with new LED sports field lighting.
The LED lighting is controlled by the Philips PerfectPlay system. PerfectPlay allows the lighting to be dimmed to various levels, timed, and features a consumption monitor. Using the dimmer settings maximizes energy savings.

FC Bergh is very pleased with the newly illuminated sports fields. According to the club, the new LED lighting “makes a world of difference” and the light quality has significantly improved. Regarding energy savings, the club could not yet comment on the COVID-19 situation, as the complex was not in use. FC Bergh also noticed that the light is more concentrated on the fields, preventing light pollution for local residents.
The FC Bergh football fields have been fitted with a new Philips LED lighting system from OVI-Enschede.
